Tom was born and raised in Rural staffordshire and was always 'the boy with a stick in his hand'. His passion for wood and the forms found in nature started at a early age.

This lend him into bushcraft, outdoor crafts and forestry work. He went on to study 'sustainable design and practice' at derby University under the watchful eye of Dr Tim Willie. His time at derby made his rethink the direction of his design work and he moved away from furniture and into jewellery design. He now embraces both area with his current work.
